Michael Stamm, President

With over 30 years experience in the moving business, this is Mikeβs second successful moving company. It was Mike who came up with the company name, at a time when he was involved in regional theater. He thought a moving company would be just the ticket for him and fellow actors to earn income during the day, leaving evenings and weekends free for rehearsals and performances. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) the actors didnβt like heavy lifting! So, when the company showed signs of viability, Mike tapered off his acting career and has been the companyβs president since he founded it in 1987. He was previously founder and president of Moisheβs Transfer in Los Angeles, California.
Kevin Gathercole, General Manager
Kevin joined Starving Artists as a mover in 1997, bringing with him a wealth of experience in customer service and supervisory skills. He soon graduated to Foreman, and in 2000 he was promoted to Operations Manager, a position he holds to this day. He oversees the crews and their job assignments, does on-site estimates, answers phones, and oversees the care of all trucks and equipment. Kevin, a life-long resident of New Hampshire, brings to Starving Artists an old-fashioned integrity and forthrightness that benefits β and is appreciated by β both staff and clients.
Mickelyn (Mickey) Vien, Office Manager

Mickey brings extensive administrative skills to her work here at Starving Artists. She's an honorably discharged veteran, and has worked in several area businesses before joining us. She's also active in volunteer activities including the Pittsfield Community Girl Scouts. Her daughters are active in school sports, leading Mickey to new areas of volunteer work when not on the job or otherwise caring for her family. Mickey's background made her our top candidate for the position she's now assumed, and we're thrilled to have her. While she is still in training, she is active in answering phones and email inquiries, as well as handling our bookkeeping and overseeing the administrative systems in our Concord headquarters.
